We go back a ways! Our story began over 40 years ago when Beverley Max perfected her butter tarts with premium, quality ingredients. Today, we still operate as a family business with the same approach for our hand made, all Canadian tarts.
Our recipe is original and we're sticking to it. We produce a delicious sweet pastry treat with a semi solid centre and slightly crunchy top. We use simple ingredients with no preservatives or additives.
There is a definite following in the butter tart world. Whether your grandmother made the best tarts, or you're on a quest to find the best one, it's all a matter of opinion. We work in our kitchen like mom did by making our own dough and hand shelling our pastry. Every tart is touched by our baker's hand.
